THE BEST NEWS
The good news is that we are all supernaturally loved by God and wonderfully made in His image. The bad news is that we have all turned away from God; we have all chosen our ways over His ways, and we are separated from God. This is evident in all sorts of suffering we experience in this world. But the best news is that God has not left us alone in our separation. God has come to us in the person of Jesus, and He has made a way for every single one of us to be restored to a relationship with God not just in this world, but for all of eternity. There is no better news than this!
WE ARE THE CHURCH
At WCF, our focus isn't on a Sunday Service. Our focus isn't on taking up an offering, singing songs or listening to a sermon once or twice a week. These are all very fine things, but they're simply not our main focus. We're about sharing the best news - the love of Jesus - through discipleship, care & missions. We're about following Jesus and pursuing what God wants from His Church. We want to get as close to His vision as possible. And we do that everyday individually and together.
We believe faith, hope and love are not bound to a building, nor to a time. A Sunday Service is not The Church. The building we gather in on Sundays is not The Church. It's time to rethink the vocabulary. Christians are The Church and we are gathering in public settings, private settings, big buildings, in homes and sometimes even aisle 12 at the grocery store. We don't "go to church" because we jointly and individually called to be The Church.
